Yet despite these well-documented benefits, funding for dog parks often falls behind more pressing municipal priorities. As a result, the maintenance and improvements needed to keep these spaces safe, welcoming, and accessible can be delayed or deferred. Sustained private support is essential to ensure that these valued community assets continue to serve both people and pets for years to come.

Why Endowment?

An endowment helps ensure that the parks will always have dedicated funding for maintenance, improvements, and long-term care, even when municipal resources are limited.

Think of an endowment as a savings account for the dog parks. Donations are invested, and a portion of the endowment’s balance is used each year to keep the park safe, welcoming, and well maintained.

An endowment provides lasting financial support, helping protect the parks from budget cuts and ensuring they remain a community assets for future generations.
